Evaluation of Genotype, Environment, and Management Interactions on Fava Beans under Mediterranean Field Conditions

Faba beans (Vicia faba L.), also known as fava beans, like other crops, are influenced by several factors: their genotype, environment, and management, well the interaction between these, have an important impact on seed yielding quality traits. This study was conducted at three locations in South Italy 2017 2019 to evaluate sowing date effect yield components of Vicia L., originating from cool climates. The results showed that (SY) declined with delay. crop’s environment (year × site) management (sowing date) were found explain 34.01% 42.95% total variation, respectively. data tested genotypes positively sandy loam soil early winter date, resulting either a greater number SY THS than environment. bean tolerance frost conditions two growing seasons.
